Chronology
An extraordinary journey through the material that makes up our habitat: concrete and its ancestor, stone. The film about Stone is full of technically excellent and visually stunning shots, but it unfolds in a monotonous and repetitive manner. Admittedly, being able to admire views that are not normally appreciated by the naked eye is unique and can be fascinating. However, the slow pace of the film makes this potentially enriching experience quite tedious. The author’s main message is only revealed in the epilogue, and it’s not as if the preceding images do much to illustrate the point. The question the author poses is intriguing, but it comes too late. By the time it is presented, the audience may not be able to fully consider and digest the idea.
