After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. In order to survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned goose. Lupita Nyong’o is joined by writer-director Chris Sanders to discuss their significant credits and the time they spent filming Wild Robot together. According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for "The Wild Robot" derives from a wooden robot sketch he made. Then he asked the question «What would an intelligent robot do in the wild?». When the fox enters the cabin, the moose grunts by the door, but the sound effect used is a recording of a bear.. Look, my expectations were already pretty high. This has been one of my most anticipated films of the year since I saw the first teaser and then avoided the others to be spoiled. But regardless, I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but this might actually be the best animated film in DreamWorks history. Seriously, seeing it is believing it. This is truly one of the most visually beautiful animated films ever made. It is simply captivating from start to finish, full of magic and unparalleled beauty that fills the screen with color and life. It really feels like a Studio Ghibli animation made from Monet paintings, and sometimes it’s even hard to process everything they have to show you. It’s certainly the most influential animated work I’ve seen since the first "Spider-Verse" and the evolution of what the studio did with "The Bad Guys" and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and if you hesitate, it’s even more beautiful than all of them. I can only imagine what a beauty like this must be on the IMAX screen and maybe even in 3D and I’ll definitely be looking for that experience when it’s officially released, but even in the normal XD theater it was a great spectacle that took my breath away every time frame. The story itself is conceptually and essentially quite simple and if there’s anything that can cause some people to criticize the film, it would probably be because of that. But I don’t see why anyone would do that because he does everything he wants to do in an excellent and irresistible way. I think people forget that even simple stories like this one also take a lot of effort to make it work, and this movie makes it look easy because it doesn’t need to do much and wins you over right away. It is an extremely moving journey from start to finish and is full of very beautiful themes and captivating and endearing characters that deserve to be remembered. The pace is calm and knows how to take its time with the necessary patience, the action is measured, but electrifying when it happens, and the emotional moments hit hard, but never with a forced appeal, but because they are earned through everything he has been building triumphantly. Humor and melodrama are evenly balanced, although it is much more focused on the dramatic side, but it is one of those that just warms the heart in a very pleasant and touching way.
